Medical TeleBrigade

2021, August 29 - September 4

Deadline for application:
March 1, 2021

Medical Brigades implements mobile clinics in rural communities who would otherwise not have access to healthcare. Volunteers have the opportunity to assist in triage, take patient vitals, shadow doctors during patient consult, fill prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, and facilitating health education workshops. 

 

In addition to Medical Brigades, our full-time local team also trains Community Health Workers and implements a Patient Referral program to connect patients who need care outside the scope of a mobile clinic.

Public Health TeleBrigade

2021, August 28 - September 3

Deadline for application: 

March 1, 2021

Public Health Brigades implements public health infrastructure in the homes of rural communities to improve health, hygiene, and sanitation. Volunteers have the opportunity to assist in Community Health Worker home visits to understand public health needs, facilitating public health education workshops, and construct a variety of projects, such as eco-stoves, latrines, showers and water storage units. 

 

Before Public Health Brigades are implemented, our full-time local team works with community leaders to form a Basic Sanitation Committee, which is responsible for carrying out in-home assessments and monitoring the status of projects.

Engineering TeleBrigade 

2021, June 16 - June 24

Deadline for application:
March 1, 2021

Engineering Brigades designs clean water systems that will later be built and implemented by the Water Brigades program. Volunteers have the opportunity to assist in assessing community water needs, test water quality, water treatment, infrastructure development, community leader training, and facilitating hygiene, sanitation and water education.

Business TeleBrigade 

2021, August 29 - September 4

Business Brigades provides families with consulting to improve their businesses and increase income. Volunteers have the opportunity to assist in facilitating financial literacy workshops, small business consulting, and assess loan payment capacity. 

 

Before Business Brigades are implemented, our full-time local team works with community leaders to organize Community-Owned Banks, which provide access to savings and loans for community members.
