About Us

The University of Toronto Global Brigades (UTGB) is a chapter of Global Brigades, one of the largest student-led international non-profit organizations. We uniquely implement a holistic model in rural communities in Honduras that aims to resolve their health and economic disparities. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Global Brigades mobilizes university students and professionals through skill-based programs that work in partnership with community members to improve quality of life in under-resourced regions while respecting local culture.

At UTGB, we coordinate annual weeklong summer brigades and currently host four different brigades to Honduras (Medical, Public Health, Engineering, Business). Each of these programs fits together to provide sustainable health systems and drive economic development. Join us today and get involved in building a more equitable world!

Our Vision

To improve equality of life by igniting the largest student-led social responsibility movement on the planet.

We encourage everyone to volunteer with us to be part of the movement to help impoverished communities have access to water, health education and medical/dental services.
